Featuring a powerful redemption story, marking the final chapter of the “MMK” limited series
Kapamilya award-winning actor Zaijian Jaranilla brings to life the real-life story of a snatcher-turned-jail officer in the 13th and final episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK), with the unfiltered director’s cut streaming exclusively on iWant worldwide.
The episode tells the gripping true story of a young man who, born into poverty, turned to crime in hopes of helping his family and ultimately found redemption inside a youth rehabilitation facility.
Zaijian portrays Venerando “Andot” Ebarita Jr., the 11th of 13 siblings, who grows up burdened by hardship and desperation. Determined to support his family, he turns to gambling and eventually falls in with a group of snatchers.
In a tragic twist of fate, Andot (Zaijan) accidentally shoots and kills a victim who fights back during a theft. He is arrested and sent to a youth rehabilitation center—an experience that profoundly transformed his perspective and life path.
Directed by Raz de la Torre and written by Akeem Datol del Rosario, the episode delivers a powerful narrative of second chances and personal redemption, showing how one man found his way back after losing direction.
Joining Zaijian in this emotionally charged episode are veteran actors Rosanna Roces and Dominic Ochoa, who portray his character’s parents.
“MMK” will also air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z every Saturday from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
