“Saving Grace” is ABS-CBN’s first adaptation of a Nippon TV series

ABS-CBN has earned another milestone on the world stage as its drama series “Saving Grace” bags a nomination for Best Asian Content at the prestigious Global OTT Awards, which honor outstanding television and digital programming from across the globe.

Produced by ABS-CBN’s drama unit Dreamscape Entertainment, “Saving Grace” stars award-winning Filipino actresses Julia Montes and Sharon Cuneta, alongside rising child star Zia Grace. The series quickly captured audiences, becoming one of the most-watched titles on Prime Video Philippines when it debuted.

“Saving Grace” is the Philippine adaptation of “Mother,” a critically-acclaimed Japanese drama produced by Nippon TV. The story follows a teacher who rescues an abused student and goes on the run, forming an unlikely but unbreakable bond with the child. This adaptation marks ABS-CBN’s first-ever remake of a Nippon TV series.

ABS-CBN is a leading Philippine media and entertainment company providing information, news, and entertainment to audiences worldwide across different media platforms. It reaches millions of viewers in over 50 countries through its global distribution platform The Filipino Channel, its own streaming service iWant, and partnerships with major global streaming providers. Its offerings also include film, music, events, and other multimedia ventures.

The Global OTT Awards celebrate creative excellence and innovation in streaming and on-demand content from around the world. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony in Busan, South Korea, on August 24.
