Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate gear up for their first solo concert
Filipino male group BGYO has launched its newest dance-pop single, “Headlines,” and is set to perform it live for the first time at “Summer Sonic Bangkok 2025” on Sunday (August 23).
The latest music offering of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate features Y2K R&B influences and a sound they have never explored before, delivering a fresh anthem about loving proudly and loudly.
“Headlines” was written by Lindgren, Melanie Joy Fontana, Marqueze Parker, Courtlin Jabrae Edwards, and Nhiko Sabiniano, together with Mikki and Nate, during last year’s ABS-CBN Music Camp.
Both Lingren and Melanie previously worked with BTS among other global artists and also worked on songs for “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” Courtlin penned songs for Ciara and GloRilla while Marqueze formerly worked with Ariana Grande.
The group’s performance video for “Headlines” will premiere on the BGYO Official YouTube channel on Friday (August 28) at 9pm.
The new song follows the release of BGYO’s recent hit “All These Ladies” and self-titled EP featuring the singles “Andito Lang,” “Divine,” “Trash,” and more.
At the heels of their back-to-back hits, BGYO members are gearing up for “BGYO: The First Solo Concert” happening on October 4 (Saturday) at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Tickets to the much-awaited concert produced by ABS-CBN Events are up for grabs via Ticketnet, priced at P6,000 (SVIP), P5,000 (VIP), P3,500 (orchestra), P1,800 (loge), and P800 (balcony).
BGYO debuted in 2021 and has since then made headlines with popular songs like “Patintero” and “Tumitigil Ang Mundo.” The group previously released the albums “The Light” and “Be Us.”
BGYO’s “Headlines” single is now up on music streaming platforms worldwide. For updates, follow @bgyo_ph on Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and subscribe to their official YouTube channel, BGYO Official.
