“It’s Showtime” and “What Lies Beneath” bag major wins
ABS-CBN emerged as the Digital Media Network of the Year at the 2026 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards of the Trinity University of Asia, where it also won a slew of other honors for its programs and personalities.
ABS-CBN’s popular noontime variety show, “It’s Showtime,” was named Best Noontime Show, while the talk show, “Magandang Buhay,” was recognized as Celebrity Talk Show of the Year.
Primetime drama “What Lies Beneath” bagged the Socially Relevant TV Series honor for its exploration of meaningful societal issues.
Meanwhile, broadcast journalist Zen Hernandez was named Female News Anchor of the Year for her dedication to delivering accurate, timely, and engaging news on “TV Patrol.”
Now on its 11th year, the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards honors exemplary personalities, programs, films, and organizations in the media industry. The winners are determined by alumni, faculty, staff, and stakeholders of the Trinity University of Asia.
