ABS-CBN recognized anew, Michael Delizo wins award
ABS-CBN News garnered multiple distinctions for its development-oriented content, including a win for senior reporter Michael Delizo, at the Gandingan Awards 2026.
Michael Delizo was named Best Field Reporter for his consistent, impactful on-ground reporting, covering metro and security news with a focus on police and military affairs.
Several news programs also received notable recognition—“Tao Po” was awarded the Most Development-Oriented Magazine Program for its compelling human-interest stories, while “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” was honored as the Most Development-Oriented Livelihood Program for its dedication to showcasing the Filipino entrepreneurial spirit.
NXT’s feature titled “Reshaping the Future of Farming Through Renewable Energy” also won Most Development-Oriented Online Video.
The Gandingan Awards, staged by the University of the Philippines Community Broadcasters’ Society, recognizes outstanding media practitioners, organizations, networks, schools, programs based on a certain theme.
