“It’s Showtime,” Vice earn nods from students
ABS-CBN Corporation received the Excellent and Innovative Media Company recognition, including major wins for “It’s Showtime” and Vice Ganda, at the 1st UMak Tagak TV Awards of the University of Makati.
The global storytelling company was honored for its exceptional excellence and innovation in broadcasting and digital media, and for its meaningful content that continues to inform, inspire, and connect Filipino audiences nationwide.
It’s popular noontime program, “It’s Showtime,” bagged the Excellence and Innovative in Interactive Entertainment honor, while its host, the Unkabogable Queen Vice Ganda, was named Best Host for her creativity and meaningful audience engagement.
The UMak Tagak Awards, organized by the grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) and STEM students of the University of Makati led by assistant professor Virgilio A. Soriano III, recognizes outstanding television programs and personalities that showcase innovation in storytelling, media excellence, and purposeful communication.
