
Noli, Karen earn top honors
ABS-CBN News continues to earn recognition from the academic community, as a slew of its journalists nabbed top honors at the Pagdasig Awards 2026, given by the communication students of Leyte Normal University in Tacloban City.
DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 and DZMM Teleradyo anchors also gained recognition—veteran broadcast journalist Noli de Castro, the man behind the program “Kabayan,” was named Best Radio News Anchor – Male, while Niña Corpuz, who anchors “Nagseserbisyo, Niña Corpuz” was named Best Radio News Anchor – Female.
“TV Patrol” anchor Karen Davila and ABS-CBN News chief of reporters Jeff Canoy were also recognized, winning Best TV News Anchor – Female and Best TV Reporter – Male.
ABS-CBN News’ digital excellence was also recognized as David Dizon and Andrea Taguines won Best Online News Writer in the male and female categories.
Pagdasig Awards 2026, organized by the Leyte Normal University (LNU) and the Asian Development Foundation College (ADFC), honors outstanding personalities and programs in the industry.
