ABS-CBN bags multiple wins at 7th Village Pipol Choice Awards

ABS-CBN received several honors for its outstanding programs and stars at the 7th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA).

ABS-CBN received several honors for its outstanding programs and stars at the 7th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA). 

Star Cinema’s romantic-comedy hit, “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” was named Movie of the Year, while its lead stars, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, were also recognized as Movie Actress of the Year, Movie Actor of the Year, and Pipol Sexiest of the Year (First Place – Female and Male Adult category).

ABS-CBN’s flagship news program, “TV Patrol,” was also honored as News Program of the Year for its dedicated public service and commitment to reliable journalism. 

Star Magic artist Alexa Ilacad took home the TV Host of the Year award for “Pinoy Big Brother.” Former PBB housemates were also recognized, including Fyang Smith who was named Breakthrough Star of the Year, Esnyr who was honored as YouTuber of the Year, and Bianca de Vera who was named Promising Female Star of the Year. The tandem of Bianca and Dustin Yu, known as “DustBia,” was also voted Fandom of the Year, while Rave Victoria earned the Male Face of the Year title.

Fresh from their historic Coachella debut, the nation’s girl group BINI was named P-Pop Group of the Year, with member Maloi Ricalde winning Female TikTok Face of the Year. 

One of ABS-CBN’s trending boy bands, WRIVE, was recognized as this year’s Rising P-pop Group, while Rain Celmar’s “Pahuway” nabbed the OPM Song of the Year award. 

Kolette Madello was also named Solo Performer of the Year for “Call Me Kolette,” while Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo took home the Music Video of the Year for “What If Tayo?”

Brent was also named Fashion Influencer Face of the Year, while Ralph De Leon was recognized as New Male TV Personality.

Meanwhile, several Kapamilya stars were also named Pipol Face of the Year, including Kai Montinola (Third Place – Female Teen), Rain (Second Place – Female Teen), Anji Salvacion (Second Place – Female Adult), and Raikko Mateo (Third Place – Male Teen).

The VPCA is Village Pipol’s annual awarding ceremony that honors outstanding personalities, programs, and films in the industry.
