The tale of two brothers reunited by their fight for justice reaches its finale

The fight for justice of two brothers separated by circumstance but reunited by duty comes full circle as ABS-CBN’s hit action-drama series “Blood vs Duty,” starring Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson, nears its thrilling conclusion.

Gerald welcomed the challenge of portraying Jalil Abubakar, the steadfast protector of a Muslim community caught in a systemic government conspiracy, saying the role allowed him to bring something fresh to the audience.

“It’s a challenge, gusto mo lagi may bago para sa audience. Gusto mo may bago silang mapapanood sayo. I really wanted to take it seriously. Gusto ko mashare sa audience yung religion na Islam, so pinaghirapan ko yun,” he said.

Meanwhile, Richard described “Blood vs Duty” as one of his finest works to date, crediting the series for giving him the opportunity to portray an agent named Marcus Reyes whose integrity and bravery guided his pursuit of justice.

“I can say that this is one of my best works in terms of my acting career. It’s one of my favorites,” he shared.

Throughout its run, the Kapamilya primetime series has resonated with viewers on air and online for exploring themes of truth and justice.

According to its head writer, Cenon Palomares, the goal of “Blood vs Duty” was really to tell a story that reflects real-life issues while leaving viewers with valuable lessons.

“It has to be a story na nagre-resonate dapat sa audience. Afterwards, dapat meron ka ng baon, meron ka nang pinag-isipan. Pag tumingin ka sa paligid lagi mo na makikita na nagmi-mirror siya sa totoong nangyayari. Kailangan socially relevant,” he stressed.

Now in its last two weeks, the series is set to deliver an exciting final chapter with the destabilization plot still in motion and the true bond between Jalil and Marcus yet to be revealed. Will the brothers get their second chance as a family?
