Zanjoe thrilled to be a part of a Coco Martin series
The action-romance series, “Coco Martin’s Sigabo,” maintains its spot as the top TV show on iWant as the story intensifies with Coco Martin’s personal mission to hunt down Edu Manzano’s character who is behind the tragedy that destroyed their family.
Driven by his determination and immense love for his father Rudy (Joey Marquez), Gabo (Coco) swore that he will do everything in his power to find Ricardo (Edu)—Rudy’s former pal that got revenge on him and had a hand in the tragic death of Gabo’s mother.
In the recent episode, the painful childhood of Gabo was revealed, showing how a young Rudy, portrayed by Zanjoe Marudo, instantly became wealthy after discovering an abundant treasure of gold. However, all of his riches were stolen from him by Ricardo after he felt that Rudy betrayed him.
As viewers uncover Gabo’s past, Zanjoe shared how thrilled he is to portray the young Rudy in the backstory, recognizing Coco’s strong connection with Filipino viewers and the overwhelming support they continue to show for his teleseryes.
“Alam naman natin na kapag teleserye ni Coco Martin laging inaabangan lalo na ng Pilipinong masa dahil syempre idolo nila pagdating sa aksyon at pagdating din sa mga romance at nakakakilig na eksena,” said Zanjoe in an exclusive interview uploaded by CCM Film Productions.
