ABS-CBN’s Star Music is primed to dominate the 2021 PMPC Star Awards for Music with over 60 nominations, including multiple nods for Kapamilya artists like Daniel Padilla, Moira dela Torre, KZ Tandingan, and Inigo Pascual.
Daniel, Moira, KZ, at Inigo, nanguna sa Kapamilya nominees
Namakyaw ng mahigit 60 na nominasyon ang music arm ng ABS-CBN na Star Music sa 2021 PMPC Star Awards for Music, kung saan nominado ang maraming Kapamilya artists sa pangunguna nina Daniel Padilla, Moira dela Torre, KZ Tandingan, at Inigo Pascual.
Nominado si Daniel na Male Recording Artist of the Year at Female Recording Artist of the Year naman si Moira para sa awitin nilang “Mabagal,” na nominado naman para sa Collaboration of the Year, Song of the Year, at Music Video of the Year.
May nominasyon din bilang Song of the Year ang awiting “Patawad, Paalam” ni Moira kasama ang I Belong to the Zoo, habang nominado rin siya para sa Female Concert Artist of the Year para sa concert na “Braver,” na prinodyus ng Star Events at Cornerstone Entertainment. Nominado rin ang “Braver” para sa Concert of the Year.
Pati si KZ Tandingan, sari-sari ang nominasyon kabilang ang Female Recording Artist of the Year, Female R&B Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, at Revival Recording of the Year. Si Inigo naman, nominado bilang Male Pop Artist of the Year, Revival Recording of the Year, at Dance Recording of the Year.
Mahigit isang nominasyon din ang nakuha ng Agsunta (Song of the Year, Rock Album of the Year) at nina Angeline Quinto (Concert of the Year, Female Concert Artist of the Year), Jake Zyrus (Album of the Year, R&B Album of the Year), Jem Macatuno (New Male Recording Artist of the Year, Male Acoustic Artist of the Year), at Zephanie (Revival Recording of the Year, New Female Recording Artist of the Year).
Sina Alex Gonzaga, Cool Cat Ash, at Blanktape, pare-parehong nominado para sa Novelty Song of the Year at Novelty Artist of the Year. Si Blanktape ay lalalaban din para maging Rap Artist of the Year, kasama ang kapwa Star Music artists na sina Arvey, Kritiko, at Shanti Dope.
Kabilang pa sa mga nominado ang Himig Handog 2019 bilang Album of the Year, John Rendez at Sam Mangubat para sa Male Recording Artist of the Year, Ang Soundtrack ng Buhay Mo, Ikaw ang Melody – MNL48, at Lara Maigue sa Pop Album of the Year, Klarisse de Guzman bilang Female Pop Artist of the Year, at The Company para sa Duo/Group Artist of the Year.
Magkakasama ring nominado sina KD Estrada, Lance Busa, at Lucas Garcia bilang New Male Recording Artist of the Year, at sina Eamarie Gilayo, Princess Sevillena, at Trisha Denise bilang New Female Recording Artist of the Year.
Gayundin sina Chiquerella, Hulo, Jose Carlito, at Three Two One para sa New Group Artist of the Year, Jeremy Glinoga at Jayda Avanzado para sa Collaboration of the Year, at Ianna Dela Torre para sa Dance Recording of the Year.
Sina Yeng Constantino at Yonin High ang pambato ng Star Music sa Rock Artist of the Year, sina Justine Vasquez at Young JV para sa Male R&B Artist of the Year, Alekzandra para sa Female Acoustic Artist of the Year, at Davey Langit para saFolk/Country Recording of the Year..
Apat naman ang nominado mula sa Star Music sa Compilation Album of the Year kabilang ang Budots Version Non Stop, Gold Squad Album, Himig Handog 2019, at Idol Philippines.
Halos lahat ng kategorya sa 2021 Star Awards for Music ay may nominasyong nakuha ang Star Music, na patuloy na isinusulong ang talento ng Pilipino. Iaanunsyo sa darating na mga araw ng Philippine Movie Press Club kung kailan nila isasagawa ang virtual awarding ceremony.
